…Tracking lions in the open with a carnivore expert
…Help with building and teaching at an Aids orphanage
…Conducting a game count from the air in a microlight aircraft
…Darting and capturing of a rogue lion
…Learning how to handle a 4X4 vehicle in the bush
…Going out with an anti-poaching patrol
… Tagging and release of live raptors

If these are the types of challenging yet fun adventures you are looking for then our Gap Year Conservation Experiences will not disappoint. Only those with a broad outlook on life and generous sense of adventure and fun need apply!

Weoffer self funding “volunteers” a unique opportunity to work, learn and understand more about African conservation and eco tourism all within the setting of a private game reserve. Placements are designed to be challenging yet fun, educational and beneficial with life long memories and new friendships guaranteed.

Just to the south of famed Kruger National Park, Kwa Madwala is also within easy reach of neighbouring Mozambique and Swaziland. Our programmes also include large helpings of adventure activities like rafting, abseiling, caving, hiking, camping and bridge swinging to give volunteers a fun and memorable experience of South Africa.

This type of conservation placement is hugely rewarding and is your chance to give something back and make a difference to our fragile natural environment.
